Thought of the Day
It must have been incredibly dangerous to be a botanist in prehistoric times. Without phones, email, Facebook, carrier pigeons, or a postal service, it would be impossible for a group to inform other societies when one of their botanists died from eating a particular plant or berry before another botanist suffered the same fate. Botanists today are admired and respected, but in the caveman days it was no more desirable to be a botanist than a coal miner.
