I'm Out For Presidents to Represent Me
My first entry in this blog made a bold claim that the next President should be a Philadelphian. This was a tongue-in-cheek comment made to relieve some frustration from the Phillies' defeat in the World Series against the mighty Yankees. But honestly, I do believe the next President should be a Philadelphian, or at least someone who shares the same values as we Philadelphians do. And to be completely straightforward, I am getting frustrated enough with the state of this great land that I would like to just say 'to hell with teaching' and announce my candidacy for 2012. Unfortunately, some thing called the Constitution prevents me from doing so until I am 35. In the meantime, I suppose I will be writing and teaching kids before I take such drastic action.
So, I must ask myself, who should be our next President? Well, I hope that Obama gets reelected to start things off. And I firmly believe that Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter should be our President for 2016. I have been particularly critical of him and some of his Roc-a-Fella contingents' supposed association with certain secret societies, but it all stems from that love/hate paradox I discussed below. In reality, I know that he means well and his ambition and success is rooted in a dream much bigger than personal gain. The bottom line is who can argue with a man who said, "Let's stick up the world and split it 50/50." Enough said. We need to help second and third world countries, not kill their people and take their resources.
