The creationist crowd obviously needs to adopt the manatee as their official mascot. If any one species can be exploited to arouse suspicion about evolutionary theory, it's the manatee. Manatees are the antithesis of survival of the fittest. How does hundreds of millions of years of natural selection through a particular order eventually yield a manatee, aka "sea cow" aka "marine road kill"?
