Why does Satan get such a bad rap? I think a guy who's the proprietor of a place where the souls of the wicked are eternally tortured should be extolled. Sure, he tempts people into doing bad things, but that doesn't make him evil. Cunning or beguiling, maybe, but not evil. God makes innocent and righteous men suffer as a test of their faith and fortitude, but no one calls him a bad guy. Aren't Satan's tricks just a different way of testing people's integrity? Isn't he just the yin to God's yang, and therefore both are neither good nor evil? How do we know Satan isn't a second incarnation of God who works in equally mysterious ways?
