I don't understand why people play slot machines. I can't think of too many activities that are more mind-numbingly stupid. I mean, there's absolutely no strategy involved and there's no way to beat the casino at a slot machine. There's nothing more depressing than going to a casino and seeing a bunch of old people throwing away their retirement money one quarter at a time. As they say, a fool and his money are soon parted.
