The term 'political science' is an oxymoron. Science uses empirical and measurable evidence subject to specific principles of reasoning to draw logical conclusions about a given phenomenon. Politics uses subjective and presumptuous theories on social relations to come to a collective decision on human affairs. Science clarifies our understanding of the world at large. Politics obscures that understanding. 'Political science' should be changed to 'political hearsay.'
