It incenses me that most of the developed world believes free market capitalism is the acme of economic systems. You can only feel this way if you're a beneficiary of the system. If you were a seamstress in a sweatshop in southeast Asia or a diamond miner in west Africa, you'd feel entirely different about free enterprise. In the global monetary system, corruption and profit go hand in hand. Communism doesn't provide a solution to the problem either. The only solution is to eliminate the abstraction of paper money. A resource-based economy, as envisioned by Jacque Fresco is the only logical path towards an unstratified, truly prosperous world.
