Common's "Misunderstood"

I posted Common's "Misunderstood" as the "Song of the Day" on Sunday because I have been listening to it a lot lately and have been relating to it far too much recently. The song emphasizes the universal truth that it is not easy being a human being, regardless of where you're from, where you're at, and where you're going. We strive as humans to be understood as individuals, but seeing as everyone is unique it is nearly impossible to fully accomplish that need. This paradox can make life frightening at times. The song concludes with light at the end of the tunnel by recognizing that finding faith in a higher power can help overcome the fear of being misunderstood.
