I don't understand why anyone would want fish for pets. They have a memory span of only a few months, generally fear humans, and if they don't die from shock on the way from the pet store to your house, then they only live for a few years anyway. They also apparently release harmful chemicals through their gills which can kill them if the toxins accumulate to a certain level in their tank. Basically, a fish either faces the potential danger of predators and earthworms attached to a metal hook in the wild, or their own self-defeating biology in captivity. What a stupid animal.
