Why is it that grown men enjoy fantasy football so much? It's just a game of random luck involving a board full of numbers you have no control over. Not to mention it doesn't take into account crucial aspects of football that can't be quantified. Like the fact a lockdown cornerback can dominate a game without recording a single statistic simply by keeping his receiver from getting open. Or a mobile quarterback can handicap the opposing defense by forcing them to use a linebacker or safety as a "spy" to keep him from breaking out big runs, thus leaving the defense one man short in pass coverage. I don't see the appeal of these leagues, especially considering NFL football is lackluster enough in its real form.
