I don't understand why football players get in fights. They wear entirely too much protective gear to inflict any damage on each other. Football fights always end up being some bumbling shoving or wrestling match where one player inevitably grabs the other's facemask and attempts to give him whiplash. These skirmishes aren't nearly the entertaining, ferocious spectacle that hockey fights are. From now on, it should be obligatory for football players to remove their helmets before a fight and the referees and uninvolved players should allow them to whale on each other until a clear winner emerges.
