Thought of the Day

Centipedes are one of the few living organisms that truly creep me out. How the hell do they move all those legs in unison? Some of the large ones are ferocious predators too, capable of eating lizards, frogs, rodents, birds, and bats. If I ever see a damn centipede eat a bird or a bat I'm never going outside again. Do these things jump into the air to snatch up the birds and bats? How can they possibly catch a flying critter? Unless they're crafty enough to sneak up on the birds and bats when they're asleep. Why do centipedes have to be poisonous anyway? They're scary enough with all those legs moving around at the same time. Some of them even eat spiders and tarantulas. Now you know those things are evil bastards if they can take down a spider or even a tarantula. No one in the arthropod kingdom is supposed to be more badass than a spider/tarantula. Maybe your level of viciousness is directly proportional to the number of legs you have, in which case centipedes are peerless.
