Thought of the Day

This is going to sound slightly depraved, but I can't understand why rapists and child molesters are shunned in the prison culture by a population full of murderers, crooks, arsonists, assailants, wife-beaters, and otherwise despicable individuals. What makes a group of felons think they have the authority to determine that rape or pedophilia is more reprehensible than murder? Call me crazy, but if I had the choice of living next to a pedophile or a murderer, I think I'm going to take my chances with the pedophile. That being said, I still think the former Penn State coach that's been in the news should be locked up for a long time and subjected to whatever the murderers and crooks decide is appropriate treatment.
